First of all, to anyone who has liked, or re-blogged a post of mine thank you. You are helping spread the word about good causes. Secondly, I have begun another blog called the Road to Recovery. The URL is http://myjourneytowardsrecovering.tumblr.com/
I have decided to turn my year journal of my road to veganism and allow others to read my journal, thoughts, struggles, aspirations, and much more about my journey to living a more healthy and enjoyable life. I like to call it, “My Road to Recovery”. Just to shout out to everyone who is vegan/vegetarian, thinking about being vegan/vegetarian. I think the world can learn a lot from one another and thankfully we live in a technological society that grants us the opportunities to connect world wide in a way that we never have before. Offering us the chance to learn even more novel ideas from other cultures, ideologies, and so on. Anyways, just to let one know. Everyday I will be posting a new day of my journal. So, it will be short easy reads. Hope you enjoy.
Namaste.
One Reason That We Can All Agree On
Many eat-meaters will argue, “We’re suppose to eat meat. We’re carnivores”. …Whatever. Even for those people who don’t choose to have a compassion animals and stand against the brutality of the factory farming industry. Here is something else you can shove in their face when they argue that “God gave us animals so we could eat and survive”. Not only does adopting a plant based diet help stand against the food industry and its horrific cruelty towards animals, but it also helps our planet and could help aid in the cause to end world hunger. Yep, thats right. To all those avid meat-eaters out there, not only are you killing animals, but our over consumption has caused detrimental impacts on our environment. And to all those people who still would choose to not have compassion towards let us say; ANIMALS, THE ENVIRONMENT, WORLD HUNGER, STARVING CHILDREN, choosing to go VEGAN has a significant impact on your own, personal health. It has been scientifically proven, over years of research and study, by elite medical researchers and doctors that choosing to eat only a plant based diet is not only beneficial for your present and future, but it can actually reverse damage that you have caused to your body. In this documentary, you will see several individuals take the advice from their doctors and begin consuming only plants in their diets. Many of these individuals have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, in a couple of individuals we see cancer, all as a reflection of a diet containing animal by-product. After weeks of ridding themselves of animal by-product, all individuals lost weight, were more energized, off all their medications, reversed their diabetes, and even cured themselves of cancer. Now, I’m not a doctor so I won’t try to explain how eating plants can reverse these diseases, but its all laid out for you in the video, so watch it! And not only should you watch this video, but you should pass it along to friends and family who you want to see live a long and healthy life. And not only should you pass it on to them, but you can pass it along to all those meat-eaters that say, “I like animals, but we’re at the top of the food chain. We’re suppose to eat animal”. Or you can pass it on to those who say, “Where do you get your protein?” Or, you can pass it on to those who say, “I would go vegan, but I couldn’t give up dairy or cheese”. Well, not only do diary cows suffer immense cruelty in the factories, but dairy isn’t good for you either. Yes, I said. In terms of your own, personal health, being vegetarian isn’t good enough either. The best possible thing you can do for long lasting health is to go vegan. That’s four arguments you can put under your belt. What are you going to say to that?
Earlier this evening, I posted the link to this short video to my facebook page, in which I alsp posted the comment as follows:
Majority of people will choose not watch this video. Most people will choose not to watch because it is very graphic, or simply, because they choose not to know. I urge everyone to try and challenge yourself to watch this short 11 minute documentary that exposes the brutality that farm animals face in the name of our cheap food. Some of the cruelty is pure abusiveness. At one point a dairy farmer in ohio is caught on tape being abusive to a baby cow for no reason at all. Its horrifying but true. The only way to bring change to this issue is through truth. I choose to want to believe in a compassionate world where all life is treated with respect. I challenge you to watch this video and I am sure it will change the way you view our food industry.
Only one person from my facebook page replied to the post. I am now challenging all members of tumblr to watch the video as well. The animals deserve for you to be aware of what they go through. Watch the video and at the very least, even if you are not moved to change the way you think about food, please pass it along for others to become educated as well. We can make a difference in the food industry, but it must start by making society informed subjects on the issue. Thanks.
